ABOUT ME

Arrogant Myth started with a craving to accelerate my own band’s growth on various important platforms like YouTube, Spotify, and social media. After all, these are the measuring sticks we have for now and things like Spotify monthly listeners matter for festival consideration.

Having released singles and albums with what felt like disappointing results, I listened to helpful advice from musical peers and mentors while keeping years of healthy marketing-based chat going with peers trying to accomplish the same goals. The enablement you will receive is a culmination of extensive research and years’ worth of strategic conversations.

Arrogant Myth birthed out of human necessity and desire to help continue to propel my fellow artists that work so hard on their art and want to reach their audiences. And while I enjoy helping my hard-working artist friends for free, the hours are starting to add up. This isn’t a full-time endeavor, and like you, my musical friends, I have a day job and family responsibilities.

Who is ARROGANT MYTH?

ARROGANT MYTH challenges the traditional artist and scene mindset that it just takes time and years to grow your act. We don’t disagree and pay our dues, but why not accelerate growth while establishing a savvy marketing foundation to make each release more impactful? We are a premium service for artists that want more of those rare, validating musical moments.

How technical do I need to be to benefit from a session?

This platform is designed for everyone from beginners who need to hook up their first music rig and midi controller to those that want to learn the most technical advice from a professional mixing engineer. You’re really creating the curriculum, and we have someone to help. If not, that’s why the consultation is FREE!

Why is this so expensive/Why is this so inexpensive?

Every learning path is tailored to what YOU want to learn. Personally speaking, I’ve spent way more than this on other elements in music from gear to buying remixes to music videos. We offer a direct path to upskilling, growing your numbers, and streamlined access to remixing talent.

Is this really $200?

The first thing you will learn about working with ARROGANT MYTH is our transparency and advice on where to best sink your marketing budget. You are paying for enablement, and in this hour, it’s encouraged to take notes and bring your entire band. We think it’s appropriate to budget $150-$300 per single for ad campaigns (don’t worry, it’s not that hard).

If my act is BRAND NEW with zero presence on any platforms, is this also for me/us?

I wish I had this knowledge prior to releasing a single piece of music. Welcome new artist, friends.

What tangible growth metrics do you have for your own band, dread risks?

Since growing our band was the beginning of this journey, I can say that I realized I had a winning suite of marketing motions when elevating our band from 450 Spotify followers to over 1500 in under a year. In learning our techniques, you’ll also learn a lot about the positive sides of the algorithm. We haven’t spent a dollar on ad campaigns in about a year but due to the initial growth, a calculated release strategy, and a healthy algorithm, we’re still seeing anywhere from 60-250 streams a day across our releases.

Can you work with already-released material?

To give you an idea, these methods were deployed a solid year after the release of our 2022 album, automated disappointment, and no one really notices if it’s within a year apparently. For max results, it’s preferred to have recent, new, or upcoming material to leverage.

When is the right time to contact you? We have single/EP/album dropping next month!

The earlier the better and this scenario is not ideal, especially if the track(s) have already gone out to distro with an announcement. We ask for two months of time prior to the release of singles. For EP’s and albums, the ideal time for a consultation is before the release of any single or videos off the release. We will teach you how to squeeze every drop out of your EP/album that took you years to complete and a decent chunk of cash to record.

Do you pitch to playlists?

We do not. We teach you how to create and grow your own. We can also enable you with our resource pool of places we have found success and clever strategies to employ to get playlister attention. We definitely can’t get you on an Editorial Playlist.

My act is over-qualified based on the “Who is this for” section. Why won’t this work for my act?

Will we have to create ads?

You will not be creating your own ads (and neither will I).

Do you offer discounts for purchasing blocks of hours?

Yes, depending on the need for your act, we can create a monthly retainer plan with a thoughtful and fair scope of work. This is the recommended path for labels looking to utilize our services for members of and entire rosters.

What web and e-commerce solutions are you talking about?

We have a strategic partnership for hosting your WordPress band or label site and WooCommerce store, complete with email marketing tools for maximum engagement and conversions. Make newsletters, create abandoned cart sequences and other smart automations that deliver the right message to the right audience. The platform even has integrated payments.
